Palestinian sources in the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, reported that residents and fighters managed to uncover, on Sunday, an infiltration of undercover forces into the camp.One of the residents who managed to observe the under-cover forces stated that the forces were hiding in a local home in Al Damj neighborhood.
The under-cover forces and ordinary army units repeatedly use Palestinian houses as a hideouts as they carry their attack, and in many cases they use the houses as military posts.
Local residents said that soldiers invaded the camp on Sunday at dawn, and then withdrew after the under-cover forces secretly occupied a house.
On Sunday afternoon, some Palestinian youth noticed strange presence in the occupied house and spread the word in the camp. Shortly after that, fighters of the Al Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, and the Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, monitored the house and managed to notice the under-cover forces.
Later on, the undercover forces opened fire at the fighters who did not response in order to avoid civilian casualties.
A few minutes later, several Israeli military jeeps and armored vehicles invaded the camp and exchanged fire with the fighters before evacuating the under-cover forces.
Dozens of youth closed the streets with rocks and hurled stones at the army.
Also, a resistance group hurled an explosive charge at the invading forces, and he army fired rounds of live ammunition wounding three residents.
Two hours later, military bulldozers razed some streets in Al Damj neighborhood, and destroyed a wall surrounding a house.
