The Palestinian Medical Relief Committees – school Health Program, concluded the first phase of a project to improve the conditions in eights kindergartens and schools in several Palestinian areas.
The first phase included improving and installing health units, installing water-fountains, maintenance, electricity, and installing water-tanks in these schools.
Afaf, a local resident working with the School Health Program said that the Relief Committees are currently working in 40 schools and kindergartens in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
She added that the schools and kindergartens need enormous services in order to develop their environment and improve their basic services.
Media Coordinator of the Relief Committees stated that the Committees carried several activities in the schools in coordination with various institutions and marked the International Health day.
The activities included recreational and sport contests in addition to distributing gifts to the participating students.
