On Friday, a young man was critically injured after Israeli forces shot him at the northern entrance of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.
Media sources said the soldiers, stationed at the military tower near the northern entrance of Bethlehem, opened fire on a young man, causing critical injuries.
Abdul Halim Ja’afra, the Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that the medical teams dealt with a young man who had been shot in the legs with live ammunition.
Ja’afra added that the medics rushed the young man to a hospital in Bethlehem after he suffered serious gunshot wounds.

In related news, several citizens suffered from suffocation during protests after Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Yitma, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank
The head of the Yitma village council, Ahmed Snobar, said protests erupted in the northern part of the village, during which the soldiers fired bullets and tear gas canisters, causing several citizens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Earlier Friday, medical sources confirmed the death of a young Palestinian man after Israeli soldiers shot him in the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.
Media sources reported that the young man, Yasser Raed Fayez Mteir, 20, succumbed to serious wounds he sustained earlier on Friday after being shot by Israeli soldiers during an army invasion of Qalandia.
