The Israeli military post next to the illegal Israeli settlement of Efrat, south of Bethlehem in the West Bank, was attacked by Palestinian resistance fighters on Sunday.
The Nasser Salah ed-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, claimed responsibility for the attack. The Brigades announced in a press release that resistance fighters had fired at the Israeli soldiers in the military camp, and had injured two.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli ambulances were deployed to the scene.
