On Thursday, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man and abducted another after besieging a home in the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces shot a young man in the thigh with a live round while he was riding his motorcycle near the Tulkarem refugee camp; he was transported to hospital suffering a moderate injury.
Sources added that soldiers besieged the home of Ayham Al-Sarouji, in the eastern part of the city, and demanded over loudspeaker that he turn himself in to the army, before abducting him.
Military bulldozers caused severe damage to the infrastructure in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps during the army’s continued aggression against the city and its camps since the morning.
The Arab 48 news website reported that Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army, targeting military vehicles with crude explosive devices, especially the Nur Shams and Tulkarem refugee camps.
Earlier, an Israeli sniper killed the young man, Hareth Mohammad ‘Awfi, 22, after shooting him in the heart with live ammunition, and a drone strike injured at least five other citizens.
In related news, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man in the town of Al-Yamoun, northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
Media sources said that several army vehicles invaded the town of Al-Yamoun before dawn on Thursday, sparking protests, while soldiers shot a young man with live rounds.
Sources added that the wounded man was transported to hospital in Jenin for treatment, where his injury was deemed moderate.
