Israeli forces executed a Palestinian young man, on Tuesday, after an alleged stabbing-attempt at the Deir Sharaf military roadblock, northwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs that the occupation forces shot and killed the young man, Walid Ashraf Mohammad Hussein, 18, at the Deir Sharaf military roadblock.

Media sources said that after the alleged attack, the army closed the Dier Sharaf military roadblock in both directions, enhanced military measures at the Al-Murabba’a and Awarta checkpoints south of Nablus in both directions, and searched citizens’ vehicles, impeding the movement of citizens.

The Arab 48 News website quoted Israeli sources who claimed that the soldiers shot the young man when attempted to stab soldiers, adding that no injuries were reported among occupation forces.

It quoted eyewitnesses who said that “occupation soldiers shot the young man at the Deir Sharaf checkpoint west of Nablus, and left him bleeding without providing first aid or allowing medical crews to approach him,” confirming that he was executed the teen “in cold blood.”
