On Sunday night, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded and plowed Palestinian lands in the Khallet Khader area, in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for annexing them.
Media sources said many colonizers invaded the privately owned Palestinian lands and started plowing them in preparation for annexing and planting them.
The sources added that just two weeks earlier, the colonizers invaded the same lands and planted a few olive saplings.
The Northern Plains witnesses numerous Israeli violations by the soldiers and the paramilitary colonizers, including uprooting lands, fencing lands, preventing Palestinians from entering them, and the demolition of homes, sheds, and other structures.
By uprooting the Palestinian lands and then planting in some areas of the same lands, the colonizers prepare for illegally annexing them to install outposts and claim ownership of the stolen lands.
Just ten days ago, the colonizers installed a shed before more colonizers started arriving in the area, amid fears that they were planning a new colonialist outpost on the stolen Palestinian lands.
Three months earlier, a group of colonizers stole several residents’ tents and other Palestinian property in a Bedouin community near the illegal “Michola” colonialist outpost.
On Saturday evening, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers fired live rounds at Palestinian homes in the village of At-Tabaqa, southwest of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Also, groups of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked many cars at intersections in the Salfit governorate, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
