Saturday, December 14, 2024, marks day 435 of the Israeli war on Gaza. The Israeli forces continues their aggression against the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since October 7, 2023, killing 44,930 citizens, the majority of them women and children, and wounding 106,624 others. Thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, where ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
Two citizens were killed and others were injured, this Saturday evening, in Israeli airstrike on the Gaza and Rafah governorates. Eye witnesses reported the death of Muhammad Ahmad Taha and the injury of another citizen as Israeli military bombed on Khirbet Al-Adas, north of Rafah, south of the Strip. Witnesses also reported that the Israeli planes bombed the tents of displaced people, west of the city of Deir al-Balah, in the middle of the Strip, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries, as well as bombing a house in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, which resulted in the death of a citizen and the injury of others.
Earlier Saturday, five citizens were killed and 12 were wounded, in an Israeli bombing of a house of Al-Qarnawi family in Al-Bureij refugee camp in the center of the strip. Local sources reported that the shelling destroyed the house and caused great damage to the neighboring houses, while rescue teams continued to search for missing persons under the rubble.
Hundreds of citizens were forcibly displaced, on Saturday evening, from two residential areas south of the Gaza Strip and their surroundings, after new “evacuation orders” issued by the Israeli military. Local sources stated that dozens of families began marching from Al-Qarara and Wadi Al-Salqa areas, on foot, heading to the western regions of the central and southern areas of the strip, carrying any luggage and blankets they were able to collect, in difficult humanitarian conditions.
A number of citizens were killed, on Saturday afternoon, after an Israeli drone bombed a group of citizens in Gaza City. Medical sources reported that at least two citizens were killed and several others were injured, after the bombing of a group of citizens in Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City. On another note, medical sources stated that their crews, had been attacked by Israeli forces, while they were recovering a body of a citizen who had been shot by Israeli forces in Al-Mawasi area in the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
A number of citizens were killed after the Israeli planes bombed a tent of displaced people near the Al-Asar Mosque in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said in a statement, today, that the world continues to ignore the fact that Gaza’s children are exposed daily to bloodshed, hunger, disease, and cold. She added that the attack on Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on Thursday raised the number of children killed in Gaza during the last month to more than 160, an average of 4 children per day since the beginning of last November. Russell explained that children in Gaza “are not responsible for the situation, and they do not have the ability to change it, but they pay their lives and their future for it”. She also noted that more than 14,500 children have been killed in the past 14 months, and that 1.1 million children need urgent protection and psychological support.
10 citizens, at least, were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing on Deir Al-Balah municipality building in the center of Gaza Strip. Eye witnesses stated that the Israeli military bombed the town hall, housing dozens of displaced people, which led to the death of 10 citizens, including the mayor, and dozens of injuries.
