Israeli military kidnaps 15 civilians from the West Bank as settlers continue their attacks on farmers. These stories and more, coming up, stay tuned.
The News Cast
Israeli troops kidnapped on Thursday 15 Palestinian civilians during morning invasions targeting a number of West Bank communities. Local sources reported attacks in Ramallah city in the central West Bank and Salfit city, in the northern West Bank, in addition to Bethlehem and Hebron, both located in the southern West Bank.
The army radio said that all men were taken to detention camps for questioning adding that they are on what the military calls its wanted list.
In other news one Palestinian owned car and animal food stacks were set on fire on Thursday by Israeli settlers during two separate attacks in the northern West Bank.
Local sources said that settlers attacked the town of Huwara near Nablus city then set a car on fire there.
Meanwhile in another attack settlers set fire to 50 stacks of animal food at the village of Assira Al Qaplya also near Nablus, witnesses told local media.
Also on Thursday the Israeli military warned local farmers in the northern West Bank that they will be charged with a 1,700 USD fine if they bring international activists to their lands.
Farmers from villages near Nablus told the Palestinian News Agencies that troops stopped them on Thursday morning while being escorted by international activists and informed them on the new law. Famers say that the presence of international activists allows them to reach their lands near Israeli settlements.
Since the start of the olive harvest season earlier this week military and settler attacks on farmers have been reported on daily basis. On Monday the military told farmers in the region that they are not allowed to host international activists in their homes.
