The News Cast
Two Palestinian civilians were kidnapped on Monday during Israeli military invasions targeting a number of West Bank communities.
Local sources said the Israeli military kidnapped two men during house-to-house search in a village near Bethlehem, southern West Bank.
The Israeli army radio said the two were taken to a nearby military detention camp for questioning. The radio added that the two men are on what the army calls wanted list.
Staying in the West Bank, a goup of Israeli settlers attacked on Monday midday the village of Bureen near Nablus city in northern West Bank.
Local media sources said that the settlers stormed the village and attacked the famers there using batons and rifle buts. The settlers also attacked villagers’ homes and caused some damage.
The villagers believe the settlers came from the nearby settlement of Yitzhar. They added that settlers of Yitzhar frequently attack them as an attempt to take over the villagers lands to expand the settlement.
In Other news, Israeli tanks opened fire on Monday afternoon at residential area close to the southern Gaza Strip boarders.
Witnesses said a number of Israeli tanks rolled into the area early on Monday morning. When tanks were leaving on Monday afternoon they opened fire at resident homes, Witnesses added.
Local sources reported no injuries but residents’ homes sustained some damage. Residents of the area say those Israeli attacks happen almost on daily basses.
