Nabeel Abu Rudiyneh, the spokesperson for the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said on Thursday that Palestinians will not accept any Israeli military presence in the future Palestinian state after occupation ends.Abu Rudiyneh was responding to the statement made by Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu has stated earlier on Thursday that even if a deal is reached to enable lasting peace, Israel will maintain a military presence along the border with Jordan.
“We won’t accept les that a full independent state that has sovereignty over its boarders and resources.” Abu Rudiyneh continues to say, ”we will not accept any form of Israeli presence on our land neither military nor civilian. We won’t agree on making our state an Israeli reservation”
Abu Rudiyneh concluded by stating that Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu is putting more obstacles in front of the peace process by making such remarks.
