On Wednesday morning, Israeli forces abducted a wounded young man after shooting he and his sister at their home in Tulkarem city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that occupation forces invaded and ransacked the Shahada family home in the northern neighborhood of Tulkarem city, shooting the young man Khader Mohammad Shahada and his sister Sadeel with live rounds.
The sources added that occupation forces shot the young man Khader Mohammad Shahada in the thigh with live ammunition while they stormed his home, before abducting him and taking him to an unknown location; his condition was not known at the time of this report.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) told the WAFA News Agency that their ambulance crews responded to a call regarding two injured citizens behind the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city, adding that the army blocked them from approaching the scene.
The PRCS added that its ambulance crews was later able to transport the young man’s 19-year-old sister to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital for treatment after she sustained a live gunshot wound to the thigh.
It is important to mention that the city of Tulkarem, and the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps have been under Israeli siege for 367 consecutive days resulting in the displacement of thousands of citizens and the destruction of their homes.
Meanwhile, in a provocative move Wednesday, occupation forces raised multiple Israeli flags on Palestinian buildings and shops on Nablus Street in Tulkarem city.
Media sources reported that a number of occupation flags were seen hanging from buildings near the northern entrance to the Tulkarem refugee camp.
In related news, the army invaded the home of the slain Qusay Maher Ismail Halaika, 27, in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron in the southern West Bank. Halaika was killed earlier Wednesday and his body confiscated after soldiers shot him at the Tunnels military roadblock, west of Bethlehem.
Media sources reported that occupation forces invaded the town of Sa’ir on Wednesday evening, and stormed and ransacked the Halaika family home, detaining and abusing his family.
The sources added that the army cordoned off the area, obstructing citizens’ movement, forced shops to close their doors, and detained several young men, subjecting them to field interrogation.
