Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Bethlehem and the Dheisheh refugee camp on Friday evening, deploying along the Jerusalem–Hebron road. Media sources stated that soldiers positioned themselves at the entrance of the refugee camp and along the main road, firing toxic gas and concussion grenades.
The soldiers later expanded their invasion into Bethlehem, particularly in the Bab az-Zqaq area and along the Jerusalem–Hebron Road, amid intensified military activity.
In the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli forces invaded the area and took up positions in the town center, triggering protests during which soldiers fired toxic gas and stun grenades at residents. No injuries were reported.
Later in the night, Israeli forces invaded the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and deployed in the “Triangle” area in the town center. Soldiers conducted foot patrols and fired toxic gas and concussion grenades.
In the Qalqilia district, in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces detained two young men from the town of Azzun.
Witnesses Ahmad Badwan and Shadi Radwan were abducted after the soldiers invaded their neighborhood, stormed their homes, and ransacked their belongings.
