Three Palestinian children were injured on Thursday after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers assaulted residents and shepherds in the Masafer Yatta area of the southern occupied West Bank, before Israeli forces invaded the area and carried out multiple abductions.
Armed colonizers attacked families and shepherds in the Rahoum area of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, beating several residents.
Local activist Osama Makhamra said the assault left three children, Mohammad al‑Adra, 13, Ibrahim al‑Adra, 11, and Hamada al‑Adra, 14, with bruises and other injuries. They were transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment.
Israeli forces invaded the area shortly after the attack and abducted two siblings, Saber al‑Adra and Ibrahim al‑Adra. Troops remained deployed in the area as residents attempted to regroup.
In a separate incident in the Huwara area of Masafer Yatta, Israeli forces abducted Wael Morad al‑Adra after he attempted to stop colonizers from damaging his agricultural crops.
Residents reported that colonizers’ attacks in the area have intensified in recent weeks, often followed by military invasions and abductions.
In related news, Israeli occupation forces continued for the sixth consecutive day their intensified military campaign across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, carrying out widespread invasions, breaking into homes, abducting scores of Palestinians, injuring several others with live ammunition, and imposing sweeping movement restrictions through the closure of military roadblocks and the installation of iron gates and earth mounds at village entrances.
