Palestinian medical sources reported on Wednesday morning that a worker was wounded by Israeli military fire while working near Beit Hanoun terminal (Erez) in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.The sources added that the resident, 28, was wounded in his right foot and was moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital.
The worker was collecting stones and rubble that would be for construction purposes due to the ongoing siege on Gaza.
At least 66 workers were wounded in Gaza since the beginning of the year, including six who were wounded since the beginning of this month.
In related new, a number of armored Israeli vehicles conducted a limited invasion into an area east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses reported that several military bulldozers also leveled lands near the border.
Also, the Israeli Air Force several rounds of live ammunition into an area close to the Rafah International Airport in southern Gaza forcing several day laborers to flee the scene.
