Palestinian sources reported Wednesday that the Israeli army fired a missile at a motor cycle rider in Al Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City; damage was reported, no injuries. Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers stationed at the border near Al Zeitoun opened fire at a number of residents before firing an artillery shell at a motorcycle driving in the neighborhood.
Also, the Israeli Air Force was seen driving over the area an issue that caused panic among the residents fearing further attacks.
Later in the day, Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers stationed nearby.
