Israeli armed settlers attack Palestinian villagers and Israeli troops conduct a military training on Palestinian farm lands. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli settlers attacked on Wednesday Palestinian residents of Assira al Qiplyia village near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Witnesses said that armed settlers attacked a construction site at the edge of the village and tried to set it on fire when residents rushed to the scene and forced them out.
Villagers say that settlers attacks targeting their homes and farm lands are escalating in the past few weeks.
Also in northern West Bank Israeli troops invaded the village of Bita near Nablus and searched and ransacked a number of homes.
Local youth clashed with the invading forces with stones, while troops fired tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets at them. Many were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation, local sources reported.
Later troops moved out of the Bita and erected a roadblock near the village entrance then searched residents’ cars and inspected their ID cards.
Later on Wednesday afternoon, Israeli army forces conducted a military training using live gunfire near the village of Yabod in Jenin district, northern West Bank.
Residents said that army helicopters were used in the training as troops erected a road block near the village and stopped cares from leaving or entering it.
Earlier on Wednesday morning the Israeli army navy conducted a training off the coast of Jaffa. Israeli sources announced that live ammunition was also used. The sources did not say when the training will end.
