Nine detainees held by Palestinian security forces over suspicions of involvement in a suicide bombing in Israel have begun a hunger strike to demand their release, Palestinian security officials said on Sunday.
The nine Islamic Jihad members have been held without charge since they were arrested by PA security shortly after the Feb. 25 Tel Aviv bombing that killed five Israelis.
PA Security officials said the men, held in a Jericho prison, had refused to take solid food since Friday.
The detainees Relatives have denied that any of them was involved in any way in the bombing.
