Israeli army killed three Palestinians in Rafah, Khan Younis and Beit Hanoun in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
On the other hand, a Palestinian medical source said Yasser Al-Arja 27, was killed in Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip at the end of a military operation looking for ‘weapons-smuggling tunnels’ in the area. The same source said Al-Arja received several shots in the upper part of the body as Israeli troops opened fire at a crowed of civilians in Al-Barazil neighborhood.
The Army spokesman said soldiers, leaving the Rafah camp at the end of an incursion that began on Thursday, came under fire from militants armed with anti-tank missiles, grenades and automatic weapons, and shot back.
Earlier in the day, medial sources at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis city reported that Mohammad Kareem 55 was killed as he was shot and left to bleed until he died in the morning. The sources said that Kareem was a mentally retarded person.
Army source said they opened fire at him as he approached their position in the Netzer Hazani settlement in the southern Gaza Strip.
A third Palestinian was killed near Beit Hanoun north of the Strip. Medical sources identified the dead as Mohammad Deif Allah 22 years old and said he died of a direct bullet in the head.
The army is carrying out a broad operation to prevent Palestinian resistance from firing rockets at Israeli border towns.
