Monday morning, Israeli soldiers arrested six members of Hamas in several West Bank areas.

An Israeli military source reported that soldiers invaded areas in Ramallah and arrested four members of the Hamas movement.

Two other members were arrested in Hebron and Bethlehem.

The army claims that the arrests were carried out as part of the campaign against the firing of homemade shells at Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip.

Also on Monday a Palestinian resistance group fired at a military jeep near Ramallah.

Six homemade shells were fired at settlements in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday and three homemade shells were fired at the western Negev and the industrial Zone in Sderot on Sunday night. Damage was reported.
