On Tuesday afternoon, the Israeli army closed all roads leading to the settlement of Ariel in the Salfit district in the northwestern West Bank.
The Disengagement Adminsitration (Sela) is planning to transfer the settlers evacuated from Netzarim settlement in the Gaza Strip to Ariel.
Some of the routes to Ariel also lead to the West Bank city of Salfit.
Israel is planning to keep Ariel in Israeli terretory under any peace agreement with the Palestinains.
