The Palestinian Authority agreed with Egypt to open the Rafah border crossing on Tuesday until Wednesday midday in order to facilitate the travel of Palestinian pilgrims heading to Mecca.
The Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security reported that the crossing will was opened at 8am in Tuesday until 13hours on Wednesday.
This year, 5000 Palestinian pilgrims are expected in Saudi Arabia.
Israel closed the crossing after it evacuated from the Gaza Strip, and barred the Palestinian and Egyptian from running it until an agreement was reached.
