Israeli soldiers shelled, on Monday at night, several areas in the northern and eastern parts of the Gaza Strip with heavy artillery. Army source claimed that the shelling comes in retaliation to homemade shells which were fired by the resistance.

The Palestinian Ministry of interior reported that Israeli tanks, based near the Eretz Crossing, also fired several shells at agricultural areas in the northern and eastern parts of the Gaza Strip.
 
No reports of injuries were reported since the shells detonated in open and agricultural areas, damage was reported.
 
Also, an Israeli military source claimed that a Palestinian resistance group fired a Qassam homemade shell at the Israeli Negev town of Sderot, the shell landed in an open area, army source said.
 
Meanwhile, Salah Ed-Deen Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, and the Al Aqsa Brigades, the military wing of Fateh, claimed conjoint responsibility for firing a “Nasser 3” homemade shell at Sderot.
 
Israeli army source confirmed that a shell was fired at Sderot.
