Israeli jetfighters shelled the Gaza Strip with further air strikes early Monday.

Israeli army claimed that these air strikes targeted roads used by Palestinian resistance   fighters for transferring the home-made shells launched into Israel.Two Israeli rockets landed near a residential area in Biet Lahya, north of the Gaza Strip, causing damage to the houses and injuring two doctors mildly by shrapnel, Palestinian sources reported.  
 
Palestinian paramedics said that four residents, including three policemen and one child, were injured in at least nine Israeli air strikes on Sunday.

In spite of the Israeli air strikes, Islamic Jihad operatives launched a home-made shell south of the Israeli town of Ashkelon. No damage was reported.
