Israeli Ministry of Housing issued tenders on Monday for 137 new housing units in the settlements of Ariel and Karni Shamron, near the West Bank city of Nablus.Israeli Peace Now movement accused Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of continuing the expansion of settlements built on Palestinian land occupied in 1967, violating all of the commitments to the Road Map to halt building inside the settlements.

The movement condemned Sharon’s continued investing and funding settlements in the occupied territories to support his election campaign, describing it as an "irresponsible act".
