An Israeli military source reported, on Thursday evening, that one settler was stabbed by a Palestinian while waiting at a bus stop in Atarot industrial zone, near Jerusalem; the stabber managed to flee the scene.
The settler, 41, suffered moderate injuries in the neck, and was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Karim Hospital in Jerusalem after receiving first aid by Magin David Adom paramedics.
A large police force was deployed in the areas, especially on street number 443 Beigin, which is designated for the settlers.
Border guard units, and Palestinian policemen, stopped and searched several Palestinian buses and vehicles along the northern borders of Jerusalem, and closed Qalandia checkpoint, north of Jerusalem, for more than two hours.
No Palestinian faction claimed responsibility for the attack.
