Israeli troops assassinated a senior leader of Hamas, and arrested three residents in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, one soldier was injured.
Thabit Salah Ed Deen, 23, was killed when troops and army vehicles surrounded a house were he was hiding in, and exchanged fire with him; army source reported that soldiers found two machine guns after killing Thabit and breaking into the home.
The body of Thabit was handed over to the Palestinian Authority, and was transferred later on to Thabit Thabit Hospital in Tulkarem.
One Israeli soldier was injured in the attack.
Also, soldiers conducted military searches in Tulkarem and arrested two residents.
The arrestees, said to be members of Hamas, were identified as Shadi Suleiman, 24, Ahmad Sabarna, 24, and Amer Shadeed, 28.
