Unknown gunmen abducted, on Thursday, Hussam Al Musli, an Egyptian diplomat on a Gaza street after firing at his car and dragging him into another vehicle before driving away.
The motive for the abduction is not clear yet since there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen fired at the tires and the fender of the vehicle in which Al Musli was traveling forcing it to stop, then they dragged him into their vehicle and sped away.
Palestinian security and police initiated a probe into the incident.
Palestinian armed factions say that they have good relations with Egypt, the country which has twice brokered a truce between the Palestinians and Israel.
