Thursday afternoon, Israeli forces invaded Hebron and surrounding villages in the southern part of the Palestinian West Bank and arrested a total of 28 Palestinians in a massive sweep of arrests.
20 men were arrested in the village of Beit Omar north of Hebron. In Yatta, south of Hebron, six men were arrested. And in the city of Hebron itself, two men, identified as Hamas activists, Sheikh Azzam Hassouna and Nadim Abu Khala, were arrested.
The arrests make a total of 48 Palestinians arrested on Thursday, most of them in early morning invasions of various areas in the West Bank.
