Arif Al Jabari, the Governor of the West Bank city of Hebron, condemned the attack against the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) headquarters last week, and reiterated the importance of protecting such organizations and volunteers.

In the press release he issued on Saturday he gave orders to Palestinian security forces in the city to do whatever was necessary to protect the international missions and their volunteers in the city.  He also stated that the attack on TIPH was an irresponsible act done by individuals, and not condoned in any way by the Hebron municipality.

He also stated the importance of the work that the international NGOs like TIPH are doing in the city by helping and protecting the Palestinian residents.
