The Al Aqsa martyrs brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, and the Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for firing four homemade shells at the Israeli town of Sderot in the Western Negev dessert, on Thursday at dawn.

In a joint press release the two groups reported that the shelling comes as a response to Israeli crimes against Palestinian people in the occupied territories.

The statement also included confirmation from both groups that Israeli settlements and cities will not live in peace as long as the Israeli attacks continue against Palestinian people.
