The Israeli army troops stationed at Za’tara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus tightened its procedures on Saturday morning.
 
Troops searched the local residents cars and slowly let them through after checking also the ID cards, while sending Tulkarem and Jenin residents back and allowing them to go through, eyewitnesses reported.
 
Za’tara checkpoint is on the road linking the south and Middle cities of West Bank together, in doing so soldiers caused a lot of Palestinian residents to miss schools and work.
 
Army source said that troops at all checkpoints were given orders to tighten resitrictions  on Palestinian movement during the Jewish holidays which will end next  Wednesday.
