The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) claimed responsibility for the shooting of the Israeli soldier at the eastern borders of the Refuge Camp of Maghazi in the central area of the Gaza Strip Thursday afternoon.
In a statement issued Thursday the group said that member of the PRC shot an Israeli soldier while he was standing near his Toyota car at the eastern borders of Maghazi Camp.
The statement added that Israeli forces and an ambulance arrived to the scene in order to transport the soldier to the hospital.
The PRC said that this was a reaction on the Israeli killing of two Palestinian activists of the Islamic Jihad Movement Thursday morning.
