Local sources report that Palestinians from Yanoun village in the Nablus region of the West Bank tried to plough their lands Monday but were prevented by Israeli settlers living illegally on the Palestinians’ land. The Yanoun farmers will attempt to plough again today. Ploughing is a vital activity for this tiny village, which has become encircled by Israeli settlements over the years.
