Israeli armed police force and intelligence officers broke into the Greek Orthodox Patriarch’s headquarters in the Old city of Jerusalem, Tuesday morning.
The soldiers targeted archbishop Atallah Hanna’s house, and delivered a military notice from the Intelligence Bureau, ordering Hanna to report to Al-Maskobiya detention center west of the city for interrogation.
The patriarch, in an urgent statement, pointed out that this event is a dangerous development which shows that the Israeli authorities are engaging in harassment and provocation of the Christian churches and their leadership.
