The Israeli army invaded Nablus Monday afternoon, in a huge operation continuing the invasion begun early Monday morning, three youth were injured.
The assault on the Palestinian civilian population of Nablus intensified following a suicide attack that killed six people in Tel Aviv old central bus station.
More than100 Israeli soldiers moved into the central area of the city through Beit Eeba, Al Jneid, and Al Quds Street, and began carrying out arrests.
Clashes erupted between locals and the soldiers who took sniper positions in occupied homes, local sources reported.
Also, soldiers arrested four residents, including a 70-year old man.
Medical sources reported that resident Salam Tareq, 18, was critically injured in the neck, while Bassem Al Bardaweel was shot in the leg. Several other youth were injured by rubber-coated bullets fired by the army.
The ongoing clashes are taking place in several areas in the city, mainly in Al Qisariyya neighborhood, and, Sheikh Muslim Street and Al Dawwar area.
