A Palestinian security source in Gaza reported that one member of the Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, was killed and two others were injured after being abducted by unknown gunmen earlier on Wednesday at dawn east of Khan Younis, in the southern part pf the Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses reported that gunmen driving a vehicle attacked three members of the Al Qassam brigades, after they left a Khan Younis mosque following dawn prayers.

The three residents, members of Qdeih family, were hit with iron bars and were taken to an area between Bani Soheila and Abasan towns, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The gunmen forced the three members against the Wall and fired at them; two suffered mild-to-moderate wounds in their legs, and one, identified as Salem Hamdan Qdeih, 24, was injured in his stomach, and died of his wounds at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis.

In a separate incident, an explosive charge, placed by an unknown group, detonated in front of the house of Wafa’ Ayyad, one of the leaders of the Al Qassam Brigades, in Al Nuseirat area, in the central Gaza Strip; damage was reported, no injuries.
