Israeli soldiers killed during this week nine Palestinian residents, including three women and one child, in several military attacks carried out in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Among the casualties, one Palestinian fighter who was extra judicially assassinated; one child,  his mother and grandmother were killed in the attack, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights reported.

 
On Saturday 20/5/2006, Israeli air force fired missiles at a vehicle of one of the fighters, of the Al Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, in Gaza city, and assassinated him. The three civilians who were killed in the strike were walking by the vehicle of the fighters when the army fired the missiles.

The center added that the Israeli army confirmed the strike but ignored the civilian casualties in its report.

One resident was also injured during Israeli shelling to areas in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, 21/5/2006, soldiers shot and killed one Palestinian woman in Balata refugee camp, in the West Bank city of Nablus as she looked through her window while the soldiers were operating in the camp.

On Wednesday 24/5/2006, army carried a two-hour military invasion in the West Bank city of Ramallah, shot and killed four Palestinians, including three civilians, and injured thirty-five residents, including eight children.
 
17 persons, including three journalists, and two international peace activists were injured during peaceful protests against the Israeli annexation Wall in the West Bank.

Troops continued their military invasions to the West Bank using armored vehicles and jeeps, while soldiers broke into dozens of houses and searched them using military dogs that terrified the residents; damage to the attacked houses was reported.

Soldiers and under-cover military units carried fifty invasions in the West Bank and arrested 87 residents, including two children and one woman who were arrested as hostages to pressure wanted resistance fighters from their families to surrender.

Number of Palestinians arrested since the beginning of the year  arrived to 1570 residents.
