An Israeli military source reported that troops arrested on Wednesday two Palestinians in the West Bank city of Ramallah suspected on killing a settler woman and her teenage son in December, 11, 1996.

 

The two casualties are from Beit El settlement, near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

The arrestees were identified as Ibrahim Alqam, 34, and Ibrahim Hani, 3; army claims that the two men were found in the position of guns during a routine search on Wednesday.

The two were transferred for questioning by the Shin Bet security service.

According to the army, Hani and Alqam allegedly opened fire on the Tsur family’s car on a road west of Ramallah, killing Ita Tsur, 42, and her 13-year-old son, Ephraim.

The daughter of the family, Tamar, was seriously injured in the shooting; three other settlers were lightly hurt.
