Israeli soldiers  invaded the West Bank city of Jenin, and its refugee camp, and arrested one resident at a nearby military checkpoint, Saturday morning.

Troops and army jeeps stormed the city. Soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition and sound bombs at the residents houses, and searches several others, local sources reported.

Meanwhile another military force installed a military checkpoint between the city and the nearby Al Zababda village.

One resident was arrested at the checkpoint, the reason of his arrest or his name remained unknown, eyewitnesses said.

Soldiers are still stopping residents at that checkpoint searching them and checking their ID cards before letting them go.

Also residents said that the army has installed portable checkpoint at the road that contacts Jenin Nablus and Tulkarem and Jericho together, which limits the movement of people between those cities.
