Head of the Israeli Betenu extreme right wing party in Israel, Avigdor Lieberman, said during a visit to the Israeli Negev town of Sderot that Israel must level the houses of all Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip.
The statements of Lieberman came when he visited houses that has been hit by homemade shells fired by resistance fighters from Gaza.
Lieberman added that Hamas’ Qassam fighters fired homemade shells at the house of the Minister of Security Amir Pertez. “therefore our target should be the houses of Hamas leaders, we must level these houses and wipe them out”.
Israeli sources reported that several residents of Sderot are currently carrying hunger strike in protest to the homemade shells fired at them from Gaza while Israel “not not doing anything to stop them”.
Several residents of Sderot are expecting Israeli to “hit Gaza harder” and refused to stop their hunger strike.
As Sderot settlers demand Israel “to act”, 28 Palestinians, among them 14 civilians and 7 children were killed by the Israeli army in the period between June 8 and June 14, the Palestinian Center For Human Rights reported.
Seven of the victims were from the same family (father, mother and 5 of their children), who were killed on Friday, 9 June 2006.
