A Palestinian medical source Gaza reported that one Palestinian child was injured, shortly after midnight Thursday when an Israeli F16 fighter jet fired missiles at several areas in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The five-year old child was hospitalized at a Gaza hospital and several homes were partially damaged as a result of the blasts.
Eyewitnesses reported that several missiles were also fired at the Customs area, the Bedouin village, and Qleibo area in northern Gaza.
The Israeli air force also fired several missiles at the entrance of Beit Hanoun, Al Saifa, Sheikh Zayid housing project, and Al Shaima. All of the attacked areas are heavily populated.
Several missiles were also fired at an area west of Gaza City, eyewitnesses reported.
Israeli artillery shells targeted an electricity generator in the northern part of the Gaza Strip Thursday evening, causing a complete blackout in the area.
In a separate attack, two Palestinian security men were injured Thursday evening after the army shelled a Palestinian security post in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army has fired more than 400 artillery shells at areas in the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
