Death toll passes 200 as Israeli air strikes continue to hit the south of Lebanon. While attacks increase and destruction intensifies, thousands of Lebanese civilians are abandoning their homes in order to seek shelter in safer locations. As Israel bombs Lebanon for the seventh consecutive day, the UN warns of a humanitarian crisis.

 
Six civilians were killed earlier today during an air raid that hit their house. Ten others were killed during overnight Israeli air strikes.
 
More than 200 Lebanese civilians have been killed in the passed six days by Israeli attacks. Israeli military action has also inflicted the heaviest destruction in the country for two decades. Attacks were aimed at ports, roads, bridges, factories and petrol stations.
 
Israeli aircraft also struck Beirut ’s southern suburb and an army overlooking the capital.
 
With the non stop violence, thousands of Lebanese civilians are abandoning their homes to seek for refuge in safer areas.
