In a major military operation in Nablus this morning, Israeli forces attacked the Palestinian Security Headquarters and arrested over 150 national security officials.
Eyewitnesses said that the operation began around 3 a.m. when Israeli forces surrounded the headquarters and using loudspeakers, demanded that the security officials come out. The forces then prevented medical crews and journalists from approaching the building, threatening to shoot them.
The Israeli forces blindfolded the security officials, took them in trucks to an unknown location, and proceeded to bulldoze large parts of the headquarters while onlookers watched in horror.
In a statement to PNN, press photographer Abdel Rahim Qusini stated, “The soldiers surrounded the building and began transferring the blindfolded officials to trucks waiting outside.” He added, “The presence of the Israeli forces in the region has paralyzed traffic and is making movement of citizens near impossible.”
Three members of Al Aqsa Brigades, the armed resistance wing of the Fateh party, were killed in the operation.
