Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that a Palestinian residents died of wounds sustained on Thursday evening, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, while an elderly man was seriously injured in an Israeli shelling to Palestinian houses.

Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that Ahmad Abu Ghazala, in his forties, died of wounds sustained after the Israeli army shelled Um Al Nassr (The Bedouin) village, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, several residents were injured in the attack.
 
On Friday evening, an elderly man was, identified as Na’im Abu Al Anzen, 65, was seriously injured, after being hit by a shell shrapnel in his shoulder.

The Media Center, that belongs to the Palestinian Security Forces, reported that the man was injured after Israeli tanks stationed in the area shelled several houses including houses that are only a few meters away from Balsam Governmental Hospital, in  Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Several windows of the hospital were damaged in addition to ambulance that was completely destroyed by the shells, Dr. Hassanen said.
