Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Tuesday that three two residents, including a child, were killed in the Gaza Strip. A 13-year old child died of wounds sustained several days ago in Gaza.
A medical source in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, reported on Tuesday afternoon that an Israeli fighter-jet fired a missile at a civilian car in Abraj Al Nada area in the city; one child and one woman were killed, at least four residents were injured.
The child was identified as Aref Ahmad Abu Fayda, 15, and the woman was identified as Mirvat Abu Sharkh, 23.
Also, a 13-year old child, Somayya Abu Okal, died of wounds sustained several days ago after the army shelled several houses in Gaza. Okal was at home when she was hit by shell shrapnels, her mother and sister were killed in the attack.
The shelling also caused considerable damage to several constructions and vehicles in the targeted area.
Troops also shelled several civilian areas in the northern and eastern parts of the Gaza Strip, and invaded an area close to the Gaza International Airport, and Al Dahniyya area.
Military helicopters fired rounds of live ammunition at the houses while troops advanced into the two areas.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli troops invaded Al Shouka area in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and opened fire at dozens of houses.
Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of soldiers supported by military vehicles and tanks advanced into the area while firing heavily at the houses.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday that soldiers killed 177, including 40 children, since the beginning of its offensive “Summer Rains” in June 27. 872 residents, including 272 children, were injured.
