Akram Awwad was arrested while crossing a military checkpoint near Isebet Jabara village south of the West Bank city of Tulkarem Wednesday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, Awwad was going from his home in the village to work in the city of Tulkarem when soldiers stopped him at the checkpoint, searched him and took him to an unknown location without giving him an explanation.
