The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported on Thursday that EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, plans to visit the Middle East from Friday to Sunday.
Solana intends to meet Lebanese leaders in Beirut on Friday and Saturday, and intends to meet Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Sunday, EU said in a press release.
Solana is travelling to the region for top-level talks with leaders on the latest developments of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon, and the efforts to end it.
