The Palestinian National Information Center – State Information Service, released a report on Wednesday on the Israeli violations and attacks against the Palestinians during the period between August 15 and August 21. The report revealed that Israeli troops killed 17 Palestinians, injured 61, and arrested 99 in one week.
The Israeli violations caused considerable damage to the infrastructure especially after the army shelled roads, bridges and main civilian facilities in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli soldiers carried 62 invasions that included breaking into civilian homes 175 times, installing temporary checkpoints 116 times, closing borders crossings and terminals 359 times, in addition to bulldozing Palestinian orchards, for the construction of the Wall, 8 times.
Dozens of residents were detained on Israeli military checkpoints installed in the West Bank, and dozens were barred from travelling through border crossings and terminals.
The center also reported that soldiers shelled several residential areas in the Gaza Strip and carried repeated invasions into Palestinian cities, villages and refugee camps in the occupied West Bank.
Closure in the Palestinian territories was intensified with hundreds of roadblocks installed on roads leading to Palestinian cities and villages.
The construction of the Annexation Wall continued, and the Israeli troops annexed more orchards in order to construct the Wall which is being built deep within the Palestinian occupied west Bank separating the residents from each other and from their orchards.
