The Al Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, have claimed responsibility for placing an explosive device that blew up under an Israeli armored vehicle Saturday night.
A statement from the Brigades reported that there were injuries among the Israeli soldiers, but the Israeli military did not confirm any injuries. There were eyewitness reports of several Israeli ambulances at the scene of the explosion, however.
In their statement, the Brigades stated that, "the explosion operation was in response to the ongoing Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip."
